Passionate about the work she does, Wanda genuinely cares about helping clients get through the difficult situations they find themselves in. She holds a Law Clerk Diploma (Honours) from Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning. During her time at Humber, Wanda was awarded the Board of Governors Award. She is also a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Since starting with Shekter Dychtenberg LLP in 2001, Wanda has focused primarily on personal injury law in the areas of accident benefits and tort matters. She also has experience in construction law. Wanda has represented clients at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and in Small Claims Court.
Wanda is an active member of the legal community. In 2006, she presented a paper on catastrophic impairment at an Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) law clerks round table seminar and at the 2013 OTLA Spring Conference, Wanda again presented a paper, this time on the topic of Financial Services Commission of Ontario Arbitrations. She is a current member and past chair of the law clerks section of the OTLA and was awarded the Outstanding Law Clerk Award from the organization in 2014.
In her spare time, Wanda enjoys travelling, nature photography and reading.
